C & O Canal Towpath and Harpers Ferry, WV

Hello Again!
We are really enjoying the C and O canal towpath so far. It is a lot better then the road walking we were doing! We are in Harpers ferry West Virginia right now spending 2 days for Daddy's birthday:) We picked up a mail drop from Mrs. Anna Marie Rush that had cookies!! Thank you so much:) My best friend Katelyn also sent me some letters....Thank you! It makes me feel better seeing bits of news from home. We went to the Appalachian trail Conservancy to pick up the mail drops and look around. We have met some really nice people here in Harpers Ferry and we are looking forward to being back on the trail again soon! Hope all is well....

Happy Hiking!

God's Blessings Flow like Rain!

It is unbelievable the blessings that God has given us so far in our journey!

It really makes me realize that I just need to 100% trust Him no matter
what the circumstances are.

I have realized that there still are alot of very God fearing friendly people in this world!

I have learned to rely more on God then on what I think needs to happen.

I just hope that the further I walk the stronger I become in a Godly way.

Seeing all of the Memorials and things in Washington D.C really makes me realize how far this world has come from the Godly values it was first laid on.

Just about every monument has some reference to God and His blessings and guidance!

I hope that you have a blessed week and are strengthened where you are weak! Take a walk in God's creation.... It will bring you closer to him!

Please continue to pray for us as we Lord willing start hiking on the C & O canal towpath tomorrow.. It will bring us away from busy dangerous roads and more into God's creation.

Lord Bless~

We can never thank them enough! God has just blessed us beyond words on this trip so far! The National Cherry Blossom Festival is going on also.... Very beautiful!!:) On Thursday we start hiking on the C and O Canal which is 160 miles trails. We are very thankful for that! Getting us off these busy main roads. We are very thankful that God spared us through several really close calls with vechicles so far! Hopefully I can upload pictures soon. If not please see our Facebook page. Continue to keep us in your prayers! Lord bless and Happy Hiking:)

Maryland on the ADT

Hello Again Everyone!
We are in Bowie,Maryland around 120+ miles into our trip:)
We have had a wonderful trip so far with seeing a lot of wildlife and meeting friendly people! We have seen a total of 7 Bald Eagles since starting in Delaware... that in itself has been uplifting and amazing! There are also a lot of Osprey and other birds we don't have in Alabama. We plan on Lord Willing being in D.C by Saturday. While in downtown Annapolis yesterday we met a lot of super friendly people! Everyone was interested in our walk and we really enjoyed talking with them. Everyday God just proves more and more that HE is in this walk!! We want to thank the Lee and Chris Weaber family for their AMAZING hospitality! They took us in for a total of 6 nights and treated us like family.. feeding us top of the line, delicious cooking and giving us warm comfy beds to sleep in! They "slack packed" us on those days and even spent Saturday and Sunday with us like family would. We enjoyed spending Sunday with their church family also. Thank you to Mrs. Chris Weaber for taking us across the Bay bridge on Wednesday evening! Their family was such a blessing to us! I look forward to writing more soon and I hope you enjoyed my update!
Keep us in your prayers and Lord Bless!

First state down!

Hello again everyone! We are still hiking:) We made it into Maryland yesterday after hiking 19 miles where our "Trail Angel" Mrs. Chris Weaber picked us up. We stayed with The Weabers Thursday and Friday night. They have been very kind and hospitable to us... giving us warm cozy beds and excellent food! We are taking a Zero day today because of heavy rain and blisters. While walking yesterday we saw a GroundHog and 2 bald eagles. They were very beautiful. We are very thankful that God has blessed us with such friendly christian families so far to help us along the way!! We will Lord willing be crossing the Bay Bridge on Tuesday afternoon. We have to get a ride across the bridge because it is to dangerous to hike across. I hope to post more soon! Lord Bless and continue to keep us in your prayers!

Hiking in Delaware

Hello Everyone from the American Discovery Trail!
We started our hike across America on Monday and have hiked 18.5 miles so far... we have only been able to hike 1 day because of the weather, here in Milton, DE it has snowed around 5- 5 1/2" and we have to wait another day for it to melt. It is amazing the amount of nice people we have met so far! We were barely out of Cape Henlopen State Park ( the start of the ADT) when a nice lady stopped and asked if we needed any help! We were blessed by a nice couple who payed for our lunch at the China Garden the day we started. The Conner Family has also been a huge blessing to us. Mrs. Serinda Conner is the state of Delaware coordinator for the American Discovery Trail. She has taken us to a really nice Bagel shop called Surf Bagel and had us over for dinner last night:) Surf Bagel sponsored us with a dozen fresh bagels for the road.
We plan on hiking again tomorow if the weather permits. Please continue to keep us in your prayers! Lord Bless

I can do this!

Hello everyone! We have around 16 days until we leave our comfortable life here in Alabama for a more Cross bearing life of hiking across the United States!! We will be hiking from Cape Henlopen State Park , Delaware to Point Reyes National Seashore , Ca. for a total of around 5,000 miles :-) What an adventure! We are hoping to spread the love of our Saviour Jesus Christ to ALL that we meet! Please keep us in your prayers daily as we strive to serve Him through this. May God Bless you!
